We take great care in preparing every dish we serve. We believe that using locally sourced ingredients is key to creating truly exceptional meals. That’s why we rely on suppliers from the Mühlwald and Pfunderer regions for our traditional Speck bacon and cheese, and source our dumpling bread from the organic bakers in Brixen. The wines and schnapps we offer are carefully selected from the Eisack valley’s winegrowers and distillers, all of whom we know personally. We want to ensure that your climb to the Eisbruggjoch is rewarded with a satisfying meal, which is why our portions are generously sized to satisfy even the biggest appetites.

  • We cook according to old South Tyrolean recipes

  • Our ingredients come almost exclusively from the region

  • Speck and cheese come from Pfunderer and Lappacher farmers

  • Strudel and cake are freshly made every day

  • We bring herbs and fresh vegetables to the alpine pass with our rucksack

  • In addition to the Stube, other alternative rooms are also available.

  • We have portable tables and chairs at your disposal, with which you can secure your own panoramic place in the alpine nature.

  • We offer you our dishes in practical PICKNICK boxes.

  • The mountain breakfast is waiting for you from 6 – 8 am.

  • Dinner is served from 18.30 p.m. Let us know if you should arrive later!

  • Unfortunately we cannot reserve tables for lunch.

The chef is personally responsible for the kitchen. You can taste that!

MOUNTAIN-PICKNICK

If you prefer to be on your own, but still want to enjoy our mountain dishes, we prepare your meal in practical picnic boxes. You then decide whether you want to sit on the mountain meadows or use one of our portable tables. In any case you have your freedom!
